Manfred Kidd is a new duo on the scene, hailing from Göteborg, Sweden.
Both members of the band are old childhood friends, and they’ve spent the majority of their time recently holed up in both a 19th century inn and a cabin on the Swedish west coast archipelago, focused on creating an album.
Their debut single came in the form of the shimmering, upbeat ‘Lights’, and they’ve followed with ‘Scatterwind' a more toned down, introspective single.
The first two releases, the singles ‘Lights' and 'Scatterwind' were very well received by blogs around the world. American blog 'The Chuckness' compared the band with The Killers and Canadian blog ‘Rex Manning Day Music Blog' got some pretty Wicked Passion Pitt vibes from the music.
I remember once when I went into a piercing studio they were playing 13 Chambers, and I thought, “Holy shit, what IS this? This is awesome…Wutang + Fugazi? What??” so I asked the counter dude and he told me about this album. Mind blown.
